EIGHT BY TEN
I think of the small works in this series as pages in a sort of loose-leaf sketchbook, reflecting a period of exploration and idea gathering. The 8”x10” format provides a consistent framework within which I can experiment freely, unbound by limitations of medium or subject. Each piece varies in technique, ranging from acrylic and watercolor on paper to physically abraded or water stained inkjet prints. This format gives me the freedom to work quickly and to work at a variety of locations, as well as to capture fleeting unfiltered inspiration.
